A calm, photo-led hero for a boutique wellness retreat, designed to take a visitor from “this looks peaceful” to “book a visit” in one screen.

Most wellness retreat websites look the same: stock shots of candles and stones, a long list of treatments, and a booking link buried at the bottom. Visitors arrive from Instagram wanting to feel what the place is like, and the site never lets them. The retreat needed its first screen to do the work: show the place, say what it offers in a sentence, and make booking one tap away.
We led with one photograph and one line. A relaxed guest in warm light, surrounded by trees, with the headline “Slow down. Feel like yourself again.” We kept the first screen to a single decision, with a primary “Book a visit” button and a quieter “View treatments” beside it. The palette comes straight from the photo, with forest greens and a warm accent, so the page feels like part of the place instead of a template laid on top.
A homepage hero with a simple navigation (Treatments, Classes, Retreats, Membership and Visit us), a "Book now" button always in view, and a headline set in a soft serif that matches the pace of the brand. Under it, one sentence says what the retreat offers: massage, breathwork, sauna and quiet space, for an afternoon or a weekend.
A short trust line sits near the buttons so a hesitant visitor sees social proof before they decide.
The photograph does most of the selling. We chose a candid, unposed moment with the guest's eyes closed and shoulders dropped, so a visitor sees the feeling of the place instead of a description of it. The headline sits on a calm, blurred area of foliage so it stays easy to read, and the page uses only one button style so the next step is never in doubt.
We designed it for a retreat that sells both short visits and weekend stays, and wrote the copy in plain, quiet language. There was no client for this one, so the brand name, copy and figures are invented for the concept, and the photography is AI-generated.
The result is a first screen that sells the feeling of the place before the visitor scrolls: one photograph, one promise and one clear next step. Tideline is a concept project that shows how we approach hospitality and wellness sites. For a real retreat, the next step would be the booking flow, treatment pages and membership, built on the same look.
